Policy Makers Luncheon

Join us for a conversation about the number of schools in concentrated poverty with Richard Kahlenberg from 11:30-1:00pm at the Church on Main located at 1601 Rossville Avenue.  We will discuss strategies for increasing economic diversity in our schools. We will learn about innovative approaches other cities have successfully used to achieve academic excellence for all students no matter who they are or where they come from.  Richard Kahlenberg is “the intellectual father of the economic integration movement” in K-12 schooling and has spent years studying the positive benefits of increasing economic diversity in schools. He is a writer, academic, and Senior Fellow at The Century Foundation. He is a Harvard Law School graduate, the author of six books, and has articles published in the The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and has also appeared on ABC, CBS, CNN, FOX, C-Span, MSNBC, and NPR.
